"Those changes....."
Well, how about changing the amount of retro as opposed to the joke offered? That change alone would probably sway most and we could all begin our new lives of perpetual indentured servitude to UCH. They can certainly afford that change with 7B in the bank. As far as "overnight", we've waited a long time and many of us can wait a bit more to get more. This TA has highlighted just how pathetic and desperate we are. And, as it now stands, we've just given UCH the green light to run our next contract out till 2020. During which, they're going to use OUR money to build new gates for all those Jumbo RJs. Hope you dig that right seat!
"2.5 years...."
Well, 2.5 years ago we were offered DAL + a buck! We've moonwalked since then! That was their intent. They have weakened us to a feckless bunch of Mister Loopners! All UCH needs to do is tighten up this or that and this TA would pass faster than rancid Taco Bell burritos after an evening binge on Colt 45! We already gave them the farm, now they want us to work it for nothing.
"The TPA is coming..."
(!) Histrionics aside, there are about 11000 of us who have "kept their powder dry" for another day. I submit that today is that day. This TA is overtly concessionary. So much so that I believe the collective anger of the peons would carry the day. Perhaps Jay the H should have thought about that pesky expiration date when HE negotiated it! WHO negotiates a TPA with an expiration date???
"1.3M per day....."
Only means that they can afford to pay US, the dweebs that generate the funds, tomorrow. Ever heard of RETRO? It's OK if you haven't because apparently neither did the Jays or the MEC's. Funny, just about every pilot I have spoken with over the last few years has insisted that full retro was non negotiable. I seem to recall being asked that very question years ago on the nego committees poll.
You say potato, I po-strike-o.
I'm tired of getting jerked around and I approved this message.
