Is that not breaking my rest?
It was the automated trip notification, but I didn't realize I was giving the company free reign to notify me. First time I have been given a trip prior to my SC starting and been called by the automation. Usually the scheduler just waits till my SC starts, or I've already acknowledged in iCrew because I noticed it before my SC starts.
I figure it is my problem because I signed up for the automatic calls, but from what I understood those calls were for changes to current scheduled trips, not trips added to ones schedule.
Its a moo point though since the trip is over 2 hours after the start of your SC. It was just a courtesy call. No need to answer, no need to acknowledge. If you ignore it, they will just call you at noon or 12:30 at the latest and give you a 2-2.5 hour report anyway. As long as its not a conflicting "co-terminal" issue (i.e. you were commuting to JFK but the trip starts out of EWR and you can't make report because of that, etc if so, call and get it sorted out) then its good that they gave you a heads up. Make sure the SC still shows on your schedule and if so the only thing that happened is that you have a little tenative heads up if you want it. If not, you'll figure it out at the start of your SC anyway.
