FXDX,

My newhire class at DAL was pretty diverse. The youngest was 26, and the oldest (me) was 60......seemed the ages were pretty well spread in-between.

My swag would put my group of 47 : 50% mil, 45 % civ/regional, 5% corporate.

The overwhelming majority of the Captains I flew with were academy graduates. That use to be DAL's favorite hiring pool, but more diverse lately. FedEx does NOT need to use the DAL model for hiring. The two jobs are widely disparate....other than pushing throttles.

All this is just my lame opinion....ymmv.
