Anyone can access a flight attendant jump seat as far as the FAA is concerned. There is no requirement for any training. Some airlines have in the past allowed any employee to use the flight attendant jump seat. The only requirement is that the airline have the minimum compliment of flight attendants on board.
Why is it that off line pilots cannot ride on the F/A js at DL? I know they must ride in the cockpit, but why? Is it a Delta thing? I thought it was an FAA thing.
