Many airlines will use a handful (or even one) licensed dispatcher per shift...these folks the supervise a large number of unlicensed data entry folks who actually do the dispatch work. Odds are if you're a regional pilot the "dispatcher" you talk to is not licensed.
If this is true...well...you live and you learn.
There I was thinking that I was talking to a licensed dispatcher.
Does anybody know the training requirement to become an "unlicensed" dispatcher?
