This guy is just like Flying mag's Les Abend. Drama queen, blowing everything out of proportion. One time he wrote an entire article about the cockpit printer not working and he had to load it, it was hard, hadn't done it since IOE on the plane, controllers were trying to get him throughout the CPDLC, all while over the Atlantic ocean. Complete drama queens. Both these guys were the lucky ones in AA history. Hired in 1984-1986, spent 12-18 months as a SO, then 4 yrs as a FO, then upgraded at 31-32 yrs of age and have been captains ever since then. Theres the reason for some toolbag-ness.

Nice post. The few extremely lucky ones certainly skew aviation as whole. Les Abend also was a big fan of age 65.
