If you are referring to the Westin Diplomat for the BOD, from what I am told, it is expensive and was booked years ago. The requirement is that it be at a pro union hotel, which this one is. Never been to a BOD, but I talked to a few reps about the perception and they explained the reasoning with the info they had.

If you think it is "dumb" for a labor union to support another labor union though its policy of supporting the hotels that are organized, so be it. Let your reps know, and if you feel strongly enough about it, write a resolution requesting a change to the policy.
