Let me ask you this: Is it fair that a foreign pilot over Age 60 could exercise their licenses in US airspace while an American pilot could not?
So low FO pay is not a legitimate source of complaint, because we should have known the pay rates before we took the job, but the mandatory retirement age, which had been law since the 50s, is not fair? I realize that ICAOs limit was a factor in Congress's decision, but so was the fact that, according to the Washington Post, "older pilots boosted their lobbying efforts to raise the age."
