Sorry mismo the thread was moving fast.

I did read the loa and what I read here are two different things. The loa seems guarantee longevity which no previous sUAL contract ever did for furloughed pilots. As been said many times the loa makes sure no sUAL pilot (within the bounds of that stated in the LOA) will have less longevity for pay than a sCAL pilot of similar seniority. I'm sure someone will correct my very brief summary.

The argument I understand is many seem to feel they should receive pay longevity for all their furlough time + actual service time. Additionally there seems to be some idea here this longevity should also apply to where they land in the finale isl. This is where I'm stating they have it wrong.

Now as far as the LOA goes historically no furlough time (at UAL) that I know of has ever been credited for pay time. This LOA, while not enough for many, is an improvement over past UAL practice. Take it or leave it that is the choice we all have starting tomorrow.
