Told that? Sure, but the only ones that buy it are on the college program. There's a reason most of the work groups at Disney are union. Do you check your facts before you just blast things out on the internet?
And I guess now it's the negative guys that are comparing jetBlue to a minimum wage, entry level position on the level of a glorified carney. You should have more respect for yourself. Sound familiar?
The big point of this thread (other than actually keeping poolies informed, which seems to have shifted to talking guys out of even coming to jetBlue) is everyone has their reasons for going where they are. Me? I won't touch DAL with a 10 foot pole. Sure, they have great compensation, but I've already been beat down by the Delta machine for the past 5 years at the regional level. Talking to my buddies over there, sounds like their management cares just a tad bit more about actual Delta guys. I don't really WANT to hate the company I work for. Been there, done that already. UAL/CAL bases all suck for me. Commute to EWR until I'm 60? No thanks. AA I'd be okay with the MIA base, but I'll have to wait for half the seniority list to retire before I could hold it. Even then, I'm driving several hours to work. With jetBlue, the only base that DOESN'T work out for me is LGB. So, even if they were to close MCO tomorrow, I'd still have BOS, JFK and FLL.
I'd much rather work to make the place a destination carrier rather than throw my hands up, call my co-workers morons and take my ball and go home. In the long run, that does nothing. If some of you wanna call people out for being selfish, take a long, hard look in the mirror. Some of us here are willing to work for and support a CBA for all of us rather than catch the first train out of town. How is that more selfish than just running?
