Probably a bad example. What I was going for was if adding FedEx or UPS to the peer set won't increase take home pay based on W2 wages if management wants something to offset it, there's no reason to do it.
FNG, the problem with defining a "destination carrier" that way is different people apply at airlines for different reasons. To me, jetBlue IS a destination carrier, hence the reason I'm willing to work to make it better rather than go somewhere else. I know guys that will apply to places like Delta, UAL, etc and just take whichever calls first, but might leave one for the other based on base choices, work rules, insurance, etc. I know several guys at Delta that would rather be at FedEx, but Delta is still considered a "destination carrier." For them, it's not. They're still applying at FedEx. Me? I'm not applying anywhere else right now.
