Sure, Delta management announced earlier this year that they were to park around 125 CRJ-200's. We've all seen that it's no problem for an ASA, ComAir, Mesaba, or Pinnacle airplane to float from one carrier to another. The leases can be transfered easily.

Some will say, Pinnacle has the newest CRJ-200 fleet, which keeps them safe from the cutbacks, but that's irrelavant given the history of the Delta Regionals swapping planes around.

I do not have a crystal ball, but with a death threat from Delta mainline to take huge concessions or qoute "wind down the operation" is not a bluff when their written plans on their SEC filings show to park 125 CRJ-200's. The scope at Delta is black and white on how many 76 seat CRJ's can be flown by regionals.

If you think Pinnacle will grow, your not reading the news. Pinnacle will not stay the same size. Pinnacle will either shrink or "wind down operations."

Delta shows no remorse on winding down an operation. Just look at ComAir. And they have NO LOYALTY to keep Pinnacle. This is a historical fact.

The meat and potatoes of their operation is their mainline fleet of 723 total airplanes. The regional industry is just a side operation. Think of the regionals as a Starbuchs in a Barnes and Noble bookstore.

Pinnacle has everything out of control right now. If you were Delta, and your written plans in your SEC filings were to cut out a CRJ-200 operation that was the size of Pinnacle, would you cut Pinnacle, Skywest, GoJet's, ASA?

I'm betting on unless they get huge concessions from labor groups and can get management to fix their wasteful spending, then Pinnacle will be null and void by June of 2013. So take your vacation before June, and start burning out your sick time now, while picking up open time on your off days.

I hope that answered your question.
