The mainline isn't growing enough to absorb all who will lose their jobs. Some of the young pups (who have enough years left) will reap the rewards of your efforts (and I applaud your work). But the sad fact is there will be fewer jobs overall (mainline and regionals together), and some folks will be left standing when the music stops.
We grey haired regional pilots have a tough row to hoe. Please tip your hat to us, and wish us well... because G@d knows we need it.
I had certain opportunities only because another door was slammed in my face. Everything has a way of working out in the end. Keep the faith.
