Alaska finally joined the big boys and allows its pilots to sit in the actual on our own flights to Mexico and Canada. I've heard mixed information as to whether or not we will have to pay the usual international taxes if that is our assigned seat. Anyone have any insight?
I can't speak for Alaska, but for my company, if you're in the actual jumpseat, you're added to the GenDec and thus a crew member.
