Alaska finally joined the big boys and allows its pilots to sit in the actual on our own flights to Mexico and Canada. I've heard mixed information as to whether or not we will have to pay the usual international taxes if that is our assigned seat. Anyone have any insight?
It depends on the country for us at Spirit in Latin America and the Carib; some will allow us added to the Gen Dec, others won't. Our company's official stance is they don't want to screw with trying to keep it straight which will and which won't so they adopted a policy of not adding us. Sweet-talking seems to help my position down there.
