When these majors start hiring with no TPIC req, and all these lowly regional FO's and junior captains leave because its an upgrade after a year or two to them.. what happens to all these top half, senior captains making 100k flying a 50 seater? Sure, the top of of those top half with be safe, but what happens to the rest? Instant downgrade, that is more of a pay cut than if they had gone to the majors hiring a year or two earlier.

What you're describing isn't going to happen overnight. They aren't going to start hiring no PIC until the supply of PICs is exhausted. So anyone who chose to stay by that point made their own bed. We're talking 10 years away.
