As others have said, this is a clear win/win.
I had to make a similar decision recently and had a friend explain it this way.
A G-5 rating costs you $26,000 in the real world. A 737 rating costs you $7,000. Which would you rather pay for out of pocket?
I'll let the USAF pay for my G-5 type, thank you very much.
As far as Centcom support in Tampa, I highly doubt you'll spend more than a night in Kabul or Al Udeid. It's possible that there are 179s to the CAOC for a DV planner or 90 days to ISAF HQ ISO ISAF/CC (disclaimer--I'm not stationed at MacDill).
And as others have said, you have those Jill Kelly parties...
