Not to mention the company sucks at making money and the only profit they have is international routes. You would be 9207 out of 12505 pilots, sitting 26% from the bottom. JetBlue will retire 100, grow at least 800 by 2020, and at least 500 people will leave. That would put a new hire today at 1725 out of 3125, about 45% from the bottom. But do what you want. Every one person leaving JetBlue is like 5 leaving united, but for some reason people only see "legacy" and 3000 mandatory retirements. I should not have to explain this to you guys. You have been on here for months acting like know it alls telling people excited about getting a new job all your wrong information. I hope your happy at your next job, we are all counting on you leaving this one.
Grow by at least 800? I'll believe it when I see it. Been in this industry too long....you can never count on what the company tells you.

Here's just a smidgen of what I've heard over the last quarter century...

PanAm will always be around
Eastern won't shut the doors
USAir will continue to operate in the west (PSA)
American is committed to San Jose and RDU
America West is buying all of TWA's domestic system
SkyWest will operate B737's by y2k
You have priority upgrading over her
You'll be a B727 captain in one year
You are set for life
We'll operate a 400+ aircraft fleet by 2015...
You could be flying a Boeing in 3 years

Save the first two examples every one of these claims was made by management and none of them were true. Any path you take in this industry is a gamble.
