Yeah, you're being OCD. Unless the chocks get pulled while you are standing inside the airplane and you actually notice it is rolling, how are you going to get inside the plane from outside once the door moves away from the jetway? Not to mention the fact that it would take a lot of time to sprint down the jetway from the terminal or up the stairs from the ramp.

Now, if it's an RJ, sure, you can just hop up the airstairs, but why would you? Better to let that sucker commit suicide and reduce the population. The A380 can't take care of them all by itself.
