Two issues with your proposal:
  • A scope problem must have a scope solution. We do not sell pilots' jobs.
  • If one were to commit the fatal sin of selling out your ALPA brothers, 10% is no where near enough. You would have to calculate the effect on the entire seniority list, Narrow Body Captains who would have held Wide Body, First Officers who would have held Captain, for every fleet type and then make up some number for intangibles like quality of life. ... and what about the pilots who's longevity was delayed by not getting hired?
The real cost of outsourcing is much, much, MUCH, higher than any benefit pilots think they might have received for permitting it.
