Mainline block hours are going up. That requires additional flight attendant and pilots. We were more overstaffed then the flight attendants and have the long term mil leave pilots coming back so they did not hire the 100 or so pilots they were considering this fall. The hiring will come. Why is that so hard for everyone to believe that the block hours are increasing?

Why is that funny? I think it is kinda sad to tell the truth. 20 years to upgrade in a 30ish year career.
I have been here 12 years and 10 month and am still in the bottom 16% of the seniority list. I think 20 years is about right for up grade. I will not break the top 50% of the list until 2022 assuming we keep 12000 pilots.
