yeah,, thats true anywhere though. Upgrade is all based on seniority. We hired street captains a couple years back because we couldn't upgrade fast enough (sound familiar). Most of those guys were independance guys who needed a job. So they came here and started out day 1 at captains pay.. that is a good thing for them!!! now the bad part,, guess how long those guys were on reserve???? almost the entire 2-3 years.... why??? Because every fo that was hired before them would upgrade and push them down the schedule a notch. that goes on till the upgrades are below their seniority number. So as you can see its all about seniority number.
