Do you fly the same approaches as regional aircraft? Do you fly in and out of the same airports? I understand that you may think that Major airlines have better pilots than Regional airlines. If your airline has such a high standard for pilots flying their passengers then why on earth would they have these substandard pilots flying their passengers? They must be compromising safety for profit. Are you proud to work for an airline that does that, and a pilot group that allows it? Of course you are because you are better than regional pilots right? I don't post much on here but I can't stand the "I fly for a major so I'm better than you" type attitude I see all the time on here. We all start somewhere and work our way up. You are correct about bad apples in different pilot groups but we have all made mistakes flying and to generalize one group against another is ignorant. Mesaba never had a fatal accident. Did that make their HR better than Delta? Did that make their training better? I agree with you about the flow. If you want to get to a major do it on your own merit. Preferential interviews would be a nice gesture from our ALPA friends at the top and also from an airline that we are already carrying passengers for.
