Flew with an Australian captain in the commuters who used to insist on making ALL p.a. announcements to the passengers because "passengers find my accent more comforting than your American accent."
Yet in fact, "Captain Kangaroo" once made an announcement after a precautionary landing due to a minor maintenance issue where he told the passengers, "Not to worry folks, because at no time were your lives in danger."
Best part was that it sounded like good ole Steve Irwin: "...at no toim wa yo loives in daaaaynga." I'm sure that was refreshing for Mr. Businessman to hear.
What a tool.
