There shouldn't be multiple levels of safety, but there are. Being a pinnacle pilot, you should realize that they function on a much lower level- if you don't, perhaps you aren't qualified to move on.
Okay, I will play too. I do not now, or have I ever, based any career decisions upon a current or would be flow opportunity. What exactly do you mean by lower level? I've been privileged enough to be in the jumpseat on DAL, and while being line checked, the glorius, double-breasted captain, seemed to have forgotten his medical certificate and his company manuals were more than 2 revisions behind. I couldn't help but feel sorry for the guy. It could happen to anybody right? Not sure what happened during the debrief, didn't stick around. But to me, that seemed pretty "low-level".
