That would have resulted in a "situation B," which are extremely rare. I hope you played the lottery that night.
You remember I'm sure when 9E checkride busts were at 50%. You've had to fight with mx control over the numerous deferrals on your airplane. You've had to haggle with crew scheduling who are trying to give you illegal rest. That doesn't happen (or is exceedingly rare) at higher functioning carriers. Cut the pride and realize how things are at 9E.
