Wait for the language to come out. I'm not saying I endorse it or don't. If it's not good, vote it down. If its surprisingly good, vote in favor. Once the language comes out, I have a feeling the boards will carry a firm mindset or a hearty debate. From the get-go its hard to be upbeat about losing 100 airframes and half the list. In the end it does come down to your thread title, so I give you that.
