5) Half of these guys are getting put on the street due to a manufactured bankruptcy (by us)
6) Mainline pilots are taking nice big pay raises (we should) while guys at the bottom on poverty level wages are taking pay cuts, all while flying in the same system.

Getting off the high horse works pretty well for unity. Who are we to think we are so much better off than another pilot who flies the same passengers on the same tickets.

NWA,

I really do not understand your post. Most of the outsourcing occurred pre BK and in BK - we as Pilots have been fighting to take it back. DCI guys complain that we give up Scope and then complain even more loudly when we try to take it back. We have fought for pay raises when we gave up Scope and we have fought for pay raises when we took back Scope. Its a safe bet we will fight for pay raises in every TA - regardless of what is going on with Scope.

These guys are taking cuts because they underbid each other. If they want to stop taking cuts they have to start voting down contracts. Until the regional groups realize that they are only as strong as their weakest provider they will always face downward pressure on compensation. Mainline Pilots are not a factor in this.

Additionally - the "Flow" will not create more DAL jobs - it just puts some guys ahead of other guys, other guys I might add that are caught in the same crappy DCI system.

What does being a DAL Pilot have to do with it?? Many of these guys are great guys who are fully qualified to be DAL Pilots, just like many guys in the military, guys flying Corporate, and guys flying at other regional airlines. I think they all should all have to pass the standard DAL hiring process. A guaranteed interview is fine, but in my opinion that is where the preferential treatment ends. That is where they get hired or not, all on their individual merits, not some prearranged backroom deal.

A backroom deal, as Bar has mentioned, that left out our MEC.

I do appreciate your post taking the high road, but I really do not think the DAL guys are looking down at the DCI guys. I also applaud your optimism ala "nice big pay raises" but personally I think it is more like a partial restoration.
