As has been said many times here, a significant number of new hires have done just that. They'll probably hire another 75 or so during the last three quarters of 2013...you'll want to be at the front end of that hiring!
I fully agree with my colleague, stick to it.. keep your resume and apps out elsewhere in the meantime, but if you get the nod at HAL, few HR types will fault you for taking the job... in the end, you have to do what's best for you. HAL is a great company and worth it, trust me, so don't give up.
I also wanted to extend my welcome to the 11 new hires, I saw the list today... it's official! I imagine you're all processing into HR right about now... Gotta be excited! Let us know how the class breaks down when you get settled in... background would be nice for those looking to apply... as well as equipment assignments.
