Granted, the same could be said of many older pilots. But pilots are not public contact employees to anywhere near the extent that flight attendants are. There is a difference.
It is simply accepting reality to acknowledge that given a choice most passengers would prefer a more "enthusiastic" and yes, more attractive, cabin crew.
Most of our senior flight attendants provide excellent service but please don't insult our intelligence by pretending that the "cat rancher" issue doesn't exist.
So, all older FAs are unattractive and nasty and all young ones are beautiful and charming? You're not really saying that with a straight face are you?
You also can't tell me that senior mamas (and papas) don't follow uniform rules and regulations better than a lot of the young'uns who think rules are for everyone except them.
As far as passengers wanting a more "enthusiastic, and yes more attractive" cabin crew"---who the hell are you referring to? Middle aged, jackass businessmen who think they can board a plane and find a good lay? Call me nuts, but I don't judge anyone on their looks----besides everyone's standards are different. I'd rather have someone pleasant and classy who has experience rather than a Barbie (or for that matter) Ken doll who doesn't have a clue about customer service or how to follow a uniform rule.
Can someone pleeaaaasssse tell me when getting from Point A to Point B became akin to visiting a strip club or a pick-up bar?
P.S. I'd also rather have a FA who has control over the cabin (gained through experience) rather than one who doesn't have the guts to enforce the FARs and let's the flight be a free-for-all.
