If my company were to put me on the street after 6 plus years I would say phukit. Unless a major knocks on my door I'd be finished. There is no way I could do first year regional pay again. I feel bad for the guys that are faced with this choice.
My question, too.

I know of at least one guy who walked away from piloting (took a job in some sort of aviation management position). There are a few who talk seriously about leaving flying, but I'll believe it when I see it...

Also, I believe that "DeltaPaySoon" from this forum left aviation completely. And I know first and second hand of folks leaving the airlines for corporate/fracs.
