I raced motocross as a teenager, then got a road bike as an adult and was nearly killed by a drunk driver in a Cadilac one night. My helmet saved my life, and that was in a no-helmet law state, I was really, really, glad I was wearing it!Ended up selling the bike when the wife would no longer get on it.
I would like to get another enduro type bike, maybe a 450 four stroker only for off road. I'll never ride on the road again, not with all the morons I see texting and driving every day! The biggest problem where I live (central Florida) is finding good off-road places to ride. And for the $10K, heck, I could get a used ultralight airplane and fly it out of my backyard!
