Like many of you I was also anxious to know if my application package was received, especially after one of my contacts informed me that my PAQ was not received. I initially sent my stuff in the day the window opened.
After seeing the problems associated with MAC-platform submissions, I resent my package using the Windows-platform. I still was not sure if my stuff was in, so I contacted their HR directly and confirmed my information was on file.
The HR professional acknowledged they know the issues of their current system ( without me asking or anything) and believes they should have a system that acknowledges a candidate's submission.
With that said, I left the conversation very satisfied. Perhaps in the future the HR folks will get a system will reduce some of their workload. Selfishly, this process has given me a Ph.D in Patience. As you super-high performers get the call, this gives me some extea time to test some grill recipes, lose about 15 pounds so the Freshman15 will not cause me issues.
So in a long-winded manner, the best advice is have patience and update your info every 3-6 months(what HR told me). We have a lot of good people on this board. I've been very lucky to meet a few of you talented folks.
I hope 2013 brings us all good news. Fair winds.
