Just curious, have you taken the train anywhere out of Memphis?
Taken it to and from New Orleans. Was actually a very nice ride. Spring for the a mini-sleeper room and you will have privacy as well as lunch on the way down and supper on the way back. I did walk back and check out the coach seats. They are like first-class airline seats, but it can still get crowded and you would probably have to deal with kids running around and such.
