Forget about "the commute". The company buys you tickets where they need you. The CVG folks are doing mainly DHL hub stuff. Almost everything begins or ends in CVG, so think about imputed income on the flights and hotel rooms at the beginning and end of a trip. I doubt JFK will be an option, it is very senior and the CVG guys are trying to get out.
There is a chance you will be forced to LAX. We will see what the lines look like in March when we start the flying. What we hearing is NRT flying, so you will deadhead on a company freighter out of LAX to NRT and then fly for 14 days or so and then deadhead back on a company freighter to LAX to complete your 17 days you owe the company.
Put down what you want and hope for more hiring so you can get your first choice when it opens up.
