Hello All
I received quite the unexpected phone call two days ago for the phone interview and followed through with that phase the next day (yesterday morning). I must say that the phone interview was quite nice, relaxing, and very cordial. Lasted for 35 minutes according to my counter on the phone. Does that kind of time seem to line up with others?
I know there has been some conversation about wondering if an application is on file, whether it's better to fill out the PAQ on a PC or Mac. Nothing of that was ever mentioned during the interview and the HR Department said that had everything they needed up to this point. For anyone wondering, I did fill my PAQ out on an IPAD from overseas. It was requested (or perhaps recommended) that the NHPS file that comes after the phone interview be completed on a PC to avoid interruption between a PDF file and a Mac.
Since my schedule overseas is set for January, it was already discussed that I could not attend an interview in MIA in January. With that being said, I was told that I could take the technical test at my leisure anytime next week. I like to get a feel for whether taking the test earlier is preferred or waiting to spend some extra time preparing? With the interview favoring a points system, is it preferable to take the test quickly? Or should I follow the exact "direction" of "my leisure" this next week? Thoughts please!
Also, has anyone taken the online test using an IPAD? I did approach this subject with HR and they thought there was no issue in doing so. I'd like to hear if anyone else has in the past...
Lastly, interviews, after the January session are yet to be determined. Has anyone possibly heard of something in the future so that I can ammend or request my schedule accordingly overseas? Any help is certainly appreciated!
Breakdown of the phone interview:
35 minutes
Basic questions that have been stated before:
What do you know about Atlas?
What do you know about ACMI?
What does CRM mean to you?
Can you tell me about a time you used CRM in a difficult situation?
Do you know about our gateway basing and ticket purchasing?
Tell me about your schedule overseas?
How do you cope with being gone for long periods of time?
What is the average flight duration that you fly?
What is the longest flight you operate?
Do you have any training failures?
As mentioned a very cordial conversation!
If anyone could help me with my questions above in regards to the online test timeframe and media, I'd really appreciate it! All the best to each of you that will be interviewing in January and your future endeavors!
Happy New Year!
