They were? News to me.

Secondly they had nothing of their own, they merely occupied AA's gates and routes that they had in effect abandoned after the Air Cal debacle. To even compare them to TWA is laughable.
Not at all comparing the two AIRLINES.... just trying to compare the two integrations, and why you think TWA pilots got the raw end of the deal, when Reno was 100% stapled and TWA was 53% stapled. I was under the impression - from talking with you folks - that stapling was the worse thing you could do in a merger (to which I agree)... so that's why this brought up some confusion. Aparently, stapling isn't such a bad thing after all as long as nobody gets furloughed, correct?

Now, if you were to say TWA pilots got the raw end of the deal because of the MASSIVE FURLOUGHS after 9/11, I would say you are 100% correct. Again, Reno pilots did not experience career destruction that TWA pilots experienced thanks to the rosy picture at AA during the late 90s....

But anyways, it looks like you are trying to say that if an airline is of a certain size, stapling is OK? Where do you draw the line?
