It depends who the captain is. I had a CAL captain tell me his 757 from IAH-SFO was weight restricted. It wasn't, of course. Another CAL jumpseater came along and I told him. He laughed and went into the cockpit. He came back and told me this CA was an a%$#&! He got me a seat in the back.

I've had more trouble jumpseating on CAL than any other airline. UAL was second worst. I had a UAL captain deny me for being a "scab". I said, huh? I didn't even work for CAL then. I asked why I was a scab, but he couldn't answer my question. Oh well, its his seat.

FYI: you are all welcome on my jumpseat.
