I combined them. The cancelation report shows the majority being "pilot" cancelations. There were about 5 or 6 "flight attendant" cancelations too.
It's likely more of a seniority problem than a staffing problem. Christmas fell in the middle of the week this month without many efficient lines so a lot of senior guys/gals that couldn't get weekends off and Christmas settled for weekends off and a sick call.
