I would recomend electronic, mine is outdated, but some of the new ones allow you to upload your company data into the e-logbook...obvious time-saver.

I also keep the paper logbook for endorsements and the odd 91 flight. I do a monthly total of my 121 flying (the e-logbook does it for me) and make one line entry in the paper book with each monthly 121 totals.
