Not necessarily. I don't blame a single pilot from any carrier that flies routes formerly flown by another regional. That's a big problem, but it's all management's fault. Say you are a DTW based CRJ-200 ASA FO, live in base and DL shuffles that flying to the New Eagle who flies the EMB-145 on the same routes. You then have to commute to ATL and while you listen to Eaglets say that DL was going to shutter the ASA DTW base anyway and displace. It's a whole different story then.
I respectfully disagree. I appreciate your opinion, but the truth is that we all know what the game is and continue to play it because we want to fly for a living and we want a shot at a major. If that were not the case, many of us might quit, but we don't. If DTW closes, most of those folks will go back to commuting, and they know it and accept it. It's the game we choose to play every time we show up for work. Until it sucks real bad, or until the chance at a major goes away, we'll keep playing.
