You either honor seniority or you don't. This is the crux of the debate and one that will never be settled between the two groups. Your current first come first serve free for all open time window would never fly over here. Our initial open time windows has always been done in seniority order....We are two very different cultures that are best served just staying separate...
You can still honor seniority in smartpref. It just does it differently than flight line. But in either one, neutral trips are used to complete a solution and in both cases, seniority is honored. For the record, I'm not a big fan of the ILIW as it exists now. I'm open to doing it differently with or without it. But I disagree in staying separate. I think it's best if we are one but won't lose sleep over staying separate either. Things are going accordance to plan and aircraft will be parked. That part was true before Skywest bought us. So when it happens, it will merely be status que for the ERJ side.
