[=newarkblows;1322216]It was the same thread that you called working at ASA the "big leagues" ... remember it now? I probably would have tried to block it mentally too.
Our MEC just put out an email explaining how the ASA MEC has said that any contract without flightline in it will not pass their vote. They have done this despite the two other parties involved explaining that flightline is not a reasonable request. The company would have it but with major sections of the current ASA scheduling section rewritten because it has not come close to its projected cost savings. Vacation low would be gone and the end product is an unknown quantity. Our MEC has researched pbs systems and found one that resolves almost every parties issues and yet because it does not have a flightline name it is not even an option. The ASA MEC has done next to zero research, is sticking their head in the sand hoping to save their current flightline system and workrules (management said no), and is unwilling to negotiate on anything that negatively affects the top 5% of pilots for the betterment of 95% of the combined pilot group.
So who is unwilling to negotiate now? Oh that was just the ASA MEC's trolls on here spouting lies. Keep up the smear campaign
Now that someone dug up that quote in context, I stand behind it. See the bottom.
As for the rest of your post, it is nothing but speculation and rumor. I haven't seen the email... go ahead and post it. Your MEC lies to you guys constantly, so why should I care what they tell you guys now? It wasn't long ago that their position was no PBS and 20% raises. They sold you out on that too, apparently.

BAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! This only proves how ignorant you are. Our MEC hates me and JM more than any other, because we're the most vocal at holding them accountable, and have a history of organizing recalls and decertification drives.

Name calling is a TOS violation. But without trolls, what fun would the internet be. you XJT folks take everything so seriously. Lighten up Francis.

Exactly! Many of you will take this the wrong way, and so be it, but if you need to do major studying and "gouges" (whatever that is) to take an airline interview test with questions from the ATP written, then I'm sorry, but you're not ready for prime time!
When you end up in the right seat of a jet, you are not there to learn how to fly, you are there to assist the Captain and learn to be a Captain someday. You should already know how to fly and possess all of the required information. If you use the "gouges" and fake your way through the interview, you will be in for a rude awakening when you get to the line!
I'm not trying to be mean, I'm stating a fact. Captains are happy to help you learn the airline system, but it you don't know the basics we have little patience.
Thanks for finding it and providing the context. Yes, I told a GA guy who couldn't even type proper grammar that a couple of days studying wasn't going to help him if he couldn't fly a jet simulator and didn't have the knowledge base to pass an ATP written. And I stand behind that comment.
