No, all the majors including places like spirit and VA, have thousands of resumes from RJ Captains with plenty of TPIC and a degree.

The ONLY reason some airlines have lower mins is so they can, at their discretion and to suit their purposes, hire the occasional non-competitive applicant when they want to. This would include affirmative action and those with VERY, VERY good internal connections (children of senior managers).

No average RJ pilot is getting hired without TPIC.
