SkyWest of the future will either work with their "mainline partner" CEOs to find a loophole in the PWAs allowing code share, or they will just go it alone with MRJs and possible Airbuses.

Either way, I hope I'm not here to take part in it.
Possible Airbuses, where are you getting this from? So SKW will go from a regional feeder to a stand alone airline with no network outside of the mainline umbrella. Who owns the slots at ORD, LAX, ATL and other airports. The main seller for AA/US merger is network, what type of network do you think SKW will be able to operate? How could they compete with United when they decide to go at it alone one day but United outs a different operator on the same route and now SKW has to compete with them, with what network.

SkyWest Holdings is in the best position as far as cash flow, balance sheet and diversity amongst all the regionals. The down side is senior pilot groups and better contract that anyone else out there and 80% of airplanes being 50 seaters. With that said, lay off the pipe. What makes SKW so special? Look at RAH, they bought a LCC to compete and flew 99 seat jets at less than 50 seaters rates at most regionals and is not able to compete and continues to shrink. The fact that SKW has 1/2 billion in the bank has most you guys out of contact with reality. SKW is a good regional, it does a good job as a subcontractor but it's nothing special. The minute management comes after you guys for cuts, lit integration and such you will see the culture that makes SKW what it is die down and you will be just another regional but with a lot of 50 seaters. Look at Southwest, look at their culture and management hasn't touched compensation yet.
