Certainly everyones situation is different...having suffered a total loss home claim with USAA....overall I was very pleased with their service... my friends with State Farm, Allstate, Nationwide....not so much. Recently my mother had a total loss claim on a car.... 4 weeks to get her insurance check...pathetic..... while I certainly dont discount issues and problems that people have had with USAA and I agree the pool is diluted so to speak.... the grass is not always greener on the other side of the street. oh...another State Farm story...my mother has lived in the same house 40 years.... thru several major hurricanes..and many minor ones....NEVER not even after Katrina did she have a claim. after 37 years state farm...cancelled her wind/hail insurance...NEVER a claim ever... just saying.

And I really did like my $315 dollar SSA check this year
