While I do agree with most of your post, I do have questions about the portion that is quoted. Mainly, if lets say that Delta had made major concessions in their contract with regard to scope and pay, how would that have affected your TA? Also, what is the rude awakening that we need to lookout for?
Since I could only speak for myself and not the whole company, I do not want to see anyone losing their jobs. A lot of those pilots have families that they need to support. All I could do then is to offer my help to those that might get furloughed because of this circumstance.
We all know that pilots or employees for that matter is not the cause of any company's demise. It usually surrounds bad decisions made by management.
