To fly right seat part 91 in a jet refer to FAR 61.55 "Second in Command Qualifications"
3 takeoffs/landings as sole manipulator, emergency proc's, etc... within 12 months before you can act as SIC with pax.
In 61.55 it talks about the TO/Landings, emer proc's, limitations, flight manual, etc...Would you just jump in the right seat to get all this done along with some sort of company ground school (vice Flight Safety), then have the chief pilot sign you off? The reason I ask is a bud of mine is taking over as chief pilot, needs someone in the right seat for about 4 months but his boss doesn't want to pay for a type rating for less than a year, and I can't commit to a year. He's checking with the current chief about this as well, figured I ask since this forum is a great source.
