Why do all of you California natives want the CRJ so bad? You could easily get SFO right out of training on the Brasilia and hold a line within 6 months.
It seems like a lot of people on here are super excited to get the CRJ and commute SFO-MSP to sit reserve for a year and a half. I wouldn't want to do that. Take the brasilia and put in a CRJ transition bid for SFO only and improve your QOL.
I live in Chicago and I started on the Brasilia in FAT with a year seat lock. I'll tell you first hand that it's not very fun.
Yeah, the pay is the same first year. Normally you can transition to the CRJ after one year but if movement stops you could get stuck.
It comes down to priorities...
If you absolutely want the west coast, take the EMB.
If you absolutely need the RJ raise at one year, take the CRJ.
