I'm the opposite. I live near Chicago and would love to sit reserve in base 10 minutes from the airport as opposed to a 4.5 hour commute each direction and buying hotel rooms a few days a week for a line on the Bro. I have a line on the Bro and I'm itching for a transition but there haven't been many transition classes for the last few months.
As you said though, QOL. People should go wherever they feel like they'd have the best QOL. For me I think that's reserve at ORD.
